Founded in 1875, the Binghamton Zoo, formerly known as Ross Park Zoo, is the fifth oldest zoo in the country. Managed by the Southern Tier Zoological Society, the Binghamton Zoo is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a quality zoological facility for the purposes of conservation, education, and recreation.
Our onsite programs are stations throughout the zoo containing educational resources such as artifacts and activities for the public! Current onsite stations at the zoo are listed below. Stations are open daily throughout the summer, and are dependent on the number of volunteers we have each day. Onsite activities will be closed in inclement weather.
Take a ride on the zoo’s trackless train ride! Rides are great for kids of all ages. Admission tickets available at the zoo’s ticket booth. Open Memorial Day – Labor Day, and select weekends outside of our peak season.
