Dancing studio BAILA

Our studio is located in the heart of Prague near the Old Town Square in the house “At the Golden Watermelon” (Dům U Zlateho melounu) and has more than a century of dance history. In the XIX century in the house is the famous dance school, where they went to dance known creative people and nobles of high rank with their families, who could afford the luxury. It was at this school Jan Neruda met with the love of his life, Anna Golinovoy. In addition, the house has been the center of Prague’s cultural renaissance. It was here that was the first Tanecni beseda. Also, there was a piano rolling point, which is often visited by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Anton Rubinstein, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Gan von Bülow and others. And this is only small part of the history of this house! Those days are gone, the school was empty for a long time, but now one of the halls of the famous school again began its work in the face of the studio BAILA.
