Description:

As an organization we are committed to continuing Maria Montessori’s work towards her vision of a world where education recognizes the wisdom of childhood and enhances children’s intrinsic gifts.  We view the services we perform as impacting a series of communities: the children we serve, their parents, our staff, the Montessori Community; and, through these direct stakeholders, the community at large.

Our South Campus is housed in the University Unitarian Church on 35th Ave NE. We have one large, mixed age Montessori classroom, a smaller play room with Montessori materials, and a large multi-purpose room that we use for everything from dance and music classes to rehearsal space for our Spring Performance, and even as an indoor play area on rainy Seattle days. In nicer weather, the children enjoy the use of a large playground with a climbing structure, sandbox, class garden, and plenty of room for tag!
